Planning on taking photos of the autumnal leaf foliage in mountainous areas such as national parks? Don't wait till the colors change where you live before you travel, as that may be too late to get great color in the mountains! As it is colder in higher elevations, leaves will change color and fall much earlier than in valleys or low-lying areas.
