Digital Autumn Foliage Photography - Look for Streams, Creeks, and Waterfalls

SUMMARY: Trees near natural sources of water provide excellent opportunities for autumn foliage photography.

Autumn leaves don't have to remain on trees to be subjects for digital photos. Find fallen leaves near a stream, creek, or brook. Hike to a waterfall or two as autumnal color can add a splash (pun intended) of color near these natural photo subjects.

Focus on leaves nestled on rocks to add color to the picture. Capture photos of leaves that have fallen into the water by using a circular polarizing lens to reduce the sunlight reflections.
