The right sunrise or sunset can add a beautiful orange or red glow to your photos. Add this to the oranges, reds, and browns in a forest during autumn to create a spectacular photo full of color.

Preparation is the key; find heavily forested areas, especially those near overlooks, before the normal time of sunrise or sunset. Bring along a compass to determine whether the particular overlook is pointed towards where the sun will appear during sunrise or sunset.
