If you are spending several hundreds of dollars anyway (ok, some are cheaper now) for digital cameras, why not go ahead and spend a few extra dollars for the "extras"? A cleaning kit does not cost a lot of money but it sure can come in handy if the lens gets dirty. I know some of you might be thinking, "I'll get a kit when I need one". Well, imagine standing near a scenic point in the Rocky Mountains that would make a perfect photograph. You whip out your digital camera, look through your viewfinder or LCD screen, and notice that the image is fuzzy. Would you rather a) use your shirt to slightly clean the lens but perhaps damage the camera, or b) use a blower brush and swabs and do the job right?
