| Bring Along a Voice Recorder SUMMARY: Remember your photo subjects months or years from now. If your digital camera does not come built-in with a microphone and the ability to voice annotate photographs, you may want to bring along a voice recorder, perhaps a small digital voice recorder that can fit easily in a camera bag. This way you can record something about a photo that you may forget later, or perhaps you are on a trip and a tour guide has mentioned an interesting fact about your photo subject that you may wish later to remember.
If you take lots of photos, you may search through or organize photos days, months, or even years after their original shoot date. Without labeled or annotated photos, all those mountains, waterfalls, and log cabins may tend to look the same.
