Digital Camera Accessory

View Your LCD on Bright Days

SUMMARY: Prevent your digital camera's LCD screen from being washed out due to excess sunlight.

Are you having trouble seeing the image on your digital camera's LCD on a bright summer day? Extra sunlight and glare can wash out the electronic image. This normally makes photo composition or menu navigation almost impossible unless you take your digital camera to a shaded area.

Instead of moving to a darker area, consider purchasing an LCD hood or visor. This transparent device attaches to your LCD screen, shielding it from direct sunlight. Check your digital camera's manual or manufacturer website to see which, if any, LCD hoods are compatible with your camera.
