Digital Camera Accessory - Consider a Mini Tripod

SUMMARY: Mini tripods can work well when you need stability in a hurry and don't want to carry heavy equipment.

Besides owning a full-size tripod, you may wish to consider a mini (sometimes called tabletop or compact) tripod. Some small enough to fit in your pocket, others a little larger and fit fine in a camera bag, mini tripods provide fast stability when you can find a flat surface.

Mini tripods can work well when taking photos of small items laid on a table, small animals, flowers (so you can get closer to your subject and use a macro lens), and other needs. Note that while these work great for lighter digital cameras, they may not be able to support digital SLRs with heavy lens attached.
