Digital Camera Memory

Help! I Deleted a File!

SUMMARY: Recover previously deleted files on your digital camera memory.
 
If you ever accidentally delete a photograph on your digital camera memory, you may be able to get it back. Though there are no guarantees you can recover a lost photo, if you follow the below instructions and use media recovery software you may have a chance:

1. First, turn off your digital camera.

2. Once the digital camera is off, eject the digital camera memory card. It is very important NOT to save any more photos on the card or modify any existing photos in any way!

3. Insert your digital camera memory card into a USB device, PCMCIA device, etc. or some other device that lets you treat the digital camera memory as a hard drive. Attach the device to your computer. Again, do not modify the media in any way!

4. Try one of the following software packages that claim they can recover recently lost files. Note that this list is for informational purposes only and neither Envision Programming nor I claim any responsibility for what happens when using such software:
