Digital Parade Photography

Scout out a Location Beforehand

SUMMARY: A little preparation before a parade may result in spectacular digital photos.

Planning on taking digital photos of a parade? Scout out the route a day beforehand - it should be listed in a newspaper, or ask the parade organizers. Look for great vantage points from which you can take photos. Be forewarned, however, that others, including professionals and local media crew (television, newspaper) may be doing the exact same thing. Thus, have a few backup plans on where you should set up in case your great location is taken by those with press credentials.
