Digital Parade Photography

Don't Neglect the Background

SUMMARY: Zoom out so your parade photos can tell a story.

While taking digital photos during a parade, you more than likely will focus on close-ups of the parade participants. However, don't neglect the backgrounds if they are interesting and can help geographically place a parade. You may want to zoom out a little bit to take in surrounding downtown buildings, mountains, or a nearby river or lake if one is nearby.
