| Black and White LCD SUMMARY: Don't fret if your LCD's image turns to black-and-white; you may not have enough available light for a color image.
Do not be afraid if your digital camera's LCD screen or electronic viewfinder turns black and white in low-light situations. This just means that there is not enough available light to create a real-time picture in color. If this situation occurs and you believe there is a problem with your digital camera, merely turn the camera off, find an area with plenty of available light, and turn it back on. Your LCD or electronic viewfinder should shortly return to color.
Note that if this occurs, you should follow the other tips mentioned on MalekTips.Com regarding taking digital photos in night and low-light situations such as using a slow shutter speed, attaching the digital camera to a tripod, increasing the ISO (though note this may result in grainy pictures), etc.
