Digital Photography - Ideas for Experimentation - Adjust Zoom While Taking a Photo For Effect

For an interesting effect, first attach your digital camera to a tripod or other securing device. Set up your digital camera to take a long exposure, perhaps one second or longer. Now, while holding the shutter down to take the photo, slowly adjust your zoom, either going more telephoto (zoom in) or wider angle (zooming out). If done correctly, this creates a starburst effect in your photograph.
