SUMMARY: Taking digital photos after a snowstorm? Get out early before shoeprints taint the landscape or cityscape.
After a snowstorm, if you want to take digital photos of a pristine landscape, be sure to get out early. Shoeprints can ruin a peaceful photo, so the fewer people that are actually out in the cold weather, the better.
To reduce the chances of your own shoeprints, consider taking your wide-angle shots of a landscape or cityscape first, and then move in to shoot detail photos. Make sure to compose your photos so that as few as possible shoeprints or tire tracks are visible.
