SUMMARY: If silence is requested or mandated, turn off your digital camera's audio feedback.
As you learn your digital camera's features, take some time and learn how to disable your digital camera's sounds (instructions should be provided in your manual).
Many digital cameras beep or play a sound as feedback whenever an operation is successful, if an operation fails, and/or as you navigate menus or adjust digital camera functionality. In most instances these sounds are fine. When silence may be requested or mandatory, however, you should know how to turn off sounds. Example times:
* Sports photos where silence is requested, such as golf
* Weddings
* Church services
* Plays, concerts, or other shows
