Digital Photography - Store Your Settings in Memory

SUMMARY: Some digital cameras let you create your own program or 'scene' modes.

When taking photos that may require several adjustments to your digital camera's settings, such as sports photos, waterfall photos, sunrise and sunset photos, etc., do you often find yourself changing to the exact same settings you used previously in the same situation?

Some higher-end digital cameras have a memory setting (check your manual for details). This allows you to store 2, 3, or more (depending on the digital camera) combinations of ISO, aperture, shutter, white-balance, and other settings, in effect creating your own program or 'scene' mode. This way, when you come across a particular situation that you have dealt with before, instead of having to remember all of the settings you once used, merely tap a few buttons and recall the settings that worked in the past.
