While at a sporting event, look around for photo opportunities in unexpected places, such as:

* Workers cleaning the bases in a baseball game

* Team mascots on the sidelines

* Flags, especially on a windy day, may forebode how far or where the ball may travel

* A team's demeanor on the bench or dugout (giddy, worried, serious)

Look around before the game and during breaks in the action.
