Digital Sports Photography

Bring Plenty of Batteries

SUMMARY: Ensure your digital camera does not run out of power when taking sports photos.

Photo taking opportunities at sporting events occur within the blink of an eye, and it is almost impossible to turn on your digital camera, focus on the action and get the correct exposure, and take a picture just in time to record a spectacular event. Thus, your digital camera may remain on during most of the game. And, since you have to record images in the blink of an eye, you cannot keep your camera in a power-saving standby mode, else an event will come and go. Since this can put a drain on your batteries, make sure to take several sets with you, else the camera may run out of power halfway through a game.
