Don't Forget the Fans

SUMMARY: The look on a fan's face can sometimes tell the story of a sporting event just as well as a photo of athletes.Bookmark and Share

When taking digital photos at sporting events, don't forget to take a few photos of the fans as well.

Whether a close-up of the expressions on a fan's face after a great play, or wide-angle shots of a stadium doing 'the wave', such photos can help tell the story of a sporting event. Better yet, see if you can take photos of fans interacting (cheerfully) with players. Some examples:

* Fans handing out water to marathon runners as they pass a street corner.

* A running back leaping into the stands after a touchdown.

* College basketball players high-fiving supporters after they leave the arena.
