On your journeys, don't neglect signs as possible photo opportunities for your digital camera. Look around and you may see signs that vary greatly from those from where you live. Perhaps a road or city you pass has an interesting name. For example, I have a few photographs next to an "Ooltewah, TN" city limits sign. Maybe you would like a way to document your journey - state welcome signs are popular among photo takers for this purpose. Also, signs designating historical sights and monuments, such as the many you will find at the Chickamauga battlefield, make for good photographs.
