This tip was printed from the MalekTips Computer and Technology Help and Tips website at http://malektips.com. Digital Travel Photography - Be Careful with Ozone and PollutionSUMMARY: Help make sure your health is not at risk when going outside taking digital photos.
If you plan on taking photos in a big city (and, unfortunately, in a growing number of rural areas) during the spring and summer months, you may be subject to a high concentration of ozone or other pollutants in the air. It can result in the air appearing darker, a significant reduction in the line of sight, or in some cases a smell or a sense that the air feels 'heavier'. This can result in less available light, or wide-angle shots with a lessened subject area due to a decreased line of sight. |
