| Polarizing Filter SUMMARY: Don't lose detail photographing a waterfall on a bright, sunny day - remove reflections with a polarizing filter. Especially on a bright day, a waterfall will greatly reflect sunlight, causing glare throughout the photo. Sometimes this glare may make it difficult to see rocks, flowers, moss, or anything else near or directly underneath the water. To help reduce this glare, consider bringing along and using a circular polarizing filter. This can help bring out details that would otherwise be missed by the shimmering water.
