Dogpile Search - See What Others Have Been Searching For

SUMMARY: Curious to see what others look for on the Internet?

Curious to see what's on the mind of other Internet searchers? The Dogpile metasearch engine has a feature called SearchSpy that lets you get a glimpse of terms others use when searching the web.

After visiting the SearchSpy page on Dogpile, you can choose whether or not to view a filtered or unfiltered list of search results. Be forewarned that the 'filtered' results may not clean up everything that is unsafe for kiddies.

Once you have made a selection, a list of recently-used search queries will scroll along the screen. If you see a search query that you find interesting, just click it and the results will appear in a new browser window.

This is an interesting way to see the variety of terms people use when searching the web. While researching this tip, I noticed queries for the following diverse range of subjects. Your results will vary:

* 19th century italian ceramics
* ancient greek manuscripts
* bathrobes
* famous restaurant recipes
* information+hdmi cables
* seattle, wa
* wrestling shoes
