Dogpile Search

Find Matching Images on the Internet

SUMMARY: Use the Dogpile search engine to browse images on the web.

Besides searching the web, the Dogpile metasearch engine also can search the Internet for images that relate to your search query, such as:

* Image filenames matching your query
* Image paths matching your query
* Webpages with text matching your query near certain images

Potential uses for image search include:

* Photos of celebrities
* Photos of product packaging
* Pictures of country / state / continent maps

To search for images with Dogpile, click the "Images" link. Enter your search query and press the "Go Fetch!" button. You may have to then verify that you want to view multimedia files; afterwards you will see matching images.

As of June 20, 2006, Dogpile gets its image results from Ditto and Yahoo! Image Search.
