SUMMARY: Display the magnitudes and locations of recent earthquakes worldwide by performing a search with Google.
When many people think of earthquakes, they only consider regions prone to these occurrences such as the Pacific Ring of Fire including the San Andreas Fault, as well as where the 2011 Japan earthquake and tsunami hit. However, the truth is that earthquakes occur elsewhere and more frequently.
For more information about recent earthquakes all over the world, as well as links to maps showing earthquake epicenters, perform a Google search for the word earthquakes.
The first result should be earthquake data provided by the U.S. Geological Survey Earthquake Hazards Program at earthquake.usgs.gov, as seen by an example search below:
