EditPad Lite is a freeware (for non-commercial use) text editor for Windows. The software supports opening multiple files via a tabbed interface, and will warn you when opening read-only files that cannot be modified directly by the software.
Features include multi-level undo, block indent, text case conversion, file endings and text encoding conversions, viewing line numbers, a shortcut to view the edited file in a web browser, and forcing the editor to stay on top of other windows. Configuration options include changing editor colors, toggling a blinking cursor, showing EditPad in the System Tray area of the Windows Taskbar, and locking open files.
