Electronic Mail Check your Email Address SUMMARY: Before signing onto an e-mail newsletter, make sure your address is correct.   It is surprising how many people incorrectly set up their e-mail programs with an improper e-mail address. Without the proper address, no one can contact you. Before you send e-mail with a new piece of software for the first time, try this first. Using your e-mail program, send e-mail to yourself. If you get the mail, reply to yourself, using the exact same e-mail address as the one originally specified. If you get a "RETURNED MAIL - USER UNKNOWN," you know that the e-mail address that you keyed into your e-mail program is incorrect.
