Electronic Mail - Visiting Web Addresses Found in Email

SUMMARY: Find out a quick way to visit web addresses mentioned in e-mail if you are not able to just click the addresses from the e-mail messages.

Have you ever gotten email that contained web addresses that you wanted to visit? Depending on the email and the software that you use to read your email, you may have just been able to simply click on a link and get taken to the website mentioned in the mail. If this does not work for you, don't fret. You do not have to retype the web address mentioned in the email into your web browser.

In your email, select the desired web address with your mouse by clicking on the first character of the web address, keeping your mouse button held down, then dragging to the end of the web address.

PC Users:

Press CONTROL-C (the CONTROL and 'C' keys together). Open up your favorite web browser, click in the "Address" or "Location" field, and press CONTROL-V.

Mac Users:

Press Open Apple-C (the Open Apple ("Command") and 'C' keys together). Open up your favorite web browser, click in the "Address" or "Location" field, and press Open Apple-V.

Finally, press ENTER and the website will appear! Practice this a few times and you will find this far easier than typing the web address into your browser.
