Electronic Mail - Always Give Your E-mail a Subject Line

SUMMARY: Don't let your e-mail be accidentally labeled as 'junk' - give it a subject.

If you are busy and dash off dozens (hundreds?) of e-mails a day, it may be tempting to skip the subject line when writing your message. Just dash off a quick note in the message body, enter or choose the message recipient, and be done.

While this practice may seem to save time, it can have unintended consequences. Other busy people may scan their inboxes, ignoring messages without subject lines. Even worse, aggressive anti-spam software may tag e-mail with blank subject lines as junk, meaning your quick notes never reach their intended readers.
