File Extensions - PSD File Format

SUMMARY: PSD files are graphic files created by Adobe PhotoShop and other tools.

The PSD file format, created by Adobe, contains graphics/photos created by image editing software such as Adobe Photoshop. This file format is popular as it can be read by Macintosh and Windows computers. Normally PSD files are shared by desktop publishers and image editors as in-progress graphics, and are not used as much for graphics distributed to end-users.
