FileLocator Pro for Windows

SUMMARY: FileLocator Pro supports regular expression-based file searching and scanning inside multiple archive types. File results can be exported to HTML, XML, and other formats.

FileLocator Pro is a file search application for Windows. Files may be searched via wildcard, Boolean operations, exact match, or regular expressions (the software even includes a regular expression tester). You can also search for files containing certain text or expressions. Filters include size, time/date (creation, last access, or modification), and attributes.

The software supports searching inside multiple types of archives including .cab, .rar, and .zip. Processing extensions allow for searching inside documents such as Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, or Word documents. File results can be printed, saved, or exported as text (ASCII / Unicode), tab-separated text, CSV, XML, or HTML documents, or in custom formats via XSL transform files.

Configuration options include Explorer integration, process priority, folders to hold configuration and log files, toggling the toolbar and/or status bar, remembering search history, and playing sounds when files are found or searches are complete.
