Mozilla Firefox - Plugins and Extensions
Add 'About' Options to Help Menu
SUMMARY: The "About:About" extension offers convenient shortcuts to several "about" pages in Mozilla Firefox such as the cache, configuration, and 'Book of Mozilla'.
You may or may not know that Mozilla Firefox contains several "about:" pages that display the memory and disk caches, Firefox configuration options, "The Book of Mozilla", Firefox contributors, and other information. However, if you do not know the syntax for these pages, they may as well not exist.
MR Tech's "About:About" extension adds shortcuts to these pages from Firefox's "Help" menu, providing easier access. To install:
1. Select "Tools" - "Add-Ons".
2. The "Add-Ons" dialog box appears. Click the "Get Add-ons" button.
3. In the search box, type about:about and press the magnifying glass.
4. The MR Tech About:About extension should be displayed below. Click the "Add to Firefox" button.
5. The "Software Installation" dialog box will eventually appear. Click "Install Now" as soon as the button is enabled.
6. Once the add-on has installed, click the "Restart Firefox" button. Depending on your configuration, Firefox may note that it will try to restart your windows and tabs.
Once Firefox has restarted, click the "Help" menu, then "About:?" to display a popup menu with the "about:" shortcuts.
