Mozilla Firefox - Plugins and Extensions
Share Sites via Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, More
SUMMARY: The AddThis extension for Mozilla Firefox provides a toolbar where you can share websites via a variety of social networks and other services.
Do you often share websites via Facebook, Twtter, Reddit, or other social networks / services? Do you have multiple toolbars installed inside Mozilla Firefox and wish there was just one toolbar you could install to share pages with virtually any popular service?
The "AddThis" extension allows you to quickly share web pages via a customizable list of services. This Firefox extension installs a toolbar for quick access to popular services, or you can optionally turn on a toolbar button instead, and/or you can access sharing features via the right-click context menu or an icon on the URL bar.
1. Visit the "AddThis extension" page.
2. Click the "Add to Firefox" button.
3. Firefox may warn that it has prevented the site from installing software on your computer. If so, click the "Allow" button.
4. A "Software Installation" dialog box will appear. Click the "Install Now" button.
5. Firefox will prompt that the extension will be installed after restarting. Click the "Restart Now" button to do so now. Or, if you need to continue work online, the extension will be installed later.
After Firefox restarts, you will be shown an introductory page to the "AddThis" extension where you can optionally change your default search provider and close other toolbars, if desired.
To configure the list of providers available or change other AddThis options, click the wrench button on the right side of the "AddThis" toolbar and select "Options".
From here the "Services" tab lets you add and remove available services to / from the list of selected services. The "More Options" tab lets you choose how you wish to use the AddThis features from within Firefox.
