Mozilla Firefox - Plugins and Extensions - "Tape" a Virtual Sticky Note to your Monitor

SUMMARY: The Really Simple Sticky extension for Firefox allows you to toggle viewing a "taped" virtual sticky note to help remind you of upcoming tasks.

Tired of pasting sticky notes on your desk to help you remember to do something later instead of spending all day searching Google, Twittering your friends, and updating your Facebook page?

Instead of becoming cluttered with more notes, if you're a Mozilla Firefox user you may want to consider the "Really Simple Sticky" extension. It adds a sticky note icon to your Firefox status bar; click it to toggle viewing a sticky note that appears "taped" to your monitor.


Viewing the Really Simple Sticky in Firefox




1. Visit the following page from within Firefox:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/12376

2. Click the "Add to Firefox" button.

3. The "Software Installation" dialog box will eventually appear. Click "Install Now" as soon as the button is enabled.

4. Once the add-on has installed, to toggle viewing the sticky note, just click the new icon in your Firefox status bar. You can also right-cilck the icon to toggle having the sticky note automatically appear when you start the browser.

Note that the sticky note goes away when you click outside of it.
