Mozilla Firefox

Send Link to Current Page in Email

SUMMARY: Send a friend or coworker a link to a great web page you found in Mozilla Firefox.

This tip was written for Mozilla Firefox v2.0.0.7. Screenshots and instructions for other versions may vary.

Did you just visit a great website, such as MalekTips :) and want to send a friend or coworker a link?

Don't bother typing the web address into an e-mail message. You can have Mozilla Firefox create an e-mail message containing a link to the currently viewed webpage.

Just view a webpage in Firefox and choose "File" - "Send Link". Firefox will open your default e-mail software (most common client-based e-mail packages are supported).

The website name will be entered in the subject line, and the address will be entered into the message body. From there you can enter the "To" address, modify the subject, and add whatever else you want in the message body.
