Mozilla Firefox - Misc

Increase or Decrease Text Size, or Reset to Default

SUMMARY: Make text on Mozilla Firefox webpages easier to read.

This tip was written for Mozilla Firefox v2.0.0.7. Screenshots and instructions for other versions may vary.

If you find text on a particular webpage difficult to read, you can configure Mozilla Firefox to increase the text size.

Via the keyboard:

Just hold down the Ctrl key and press the + sign on your numeric keypad (assuming NUM LOCK is on).

Or, you can decrease the text size to fit more words on the screen without scrolling. Hold down the Ctrl key and press the - sign on your numeric keypad.

Note that not some webpages may not resize correctly due to design considerations, but feel free to experiment.

To reset the text size to the default, hold down the Ctrl key and press the number 0.

Via the menus:

If you don't like to remember keyboard shortcuts, you can use the "View" - "Text Size" menu to adjust the font size. The options are:

* Increase
* Decrease
* Normal
