SUMMARY: At the risk of increasing toner, ribbon, or ink usage, print more accurate copies of webpages with Mozilla Firefox.
Normally, when you print webpages from within Mozilla Firefox, if the webpages have background colors or images, these items will not be printed.
Firefox's default behavior is such because printing webpage backgrounds may use a lot of your printer's toner, ink, or ribbon, clearing it prematurely, thus costing you more money. However, if cost is no object and you want the most accurate printouts of webpages, you can turn on the printing of background items:
1. Click "File" - "Page Setup".
2. When the "Page Setup" multi-tabbed dialog box appears, click the "Format & Options" tab.
3. Underneath "Options", check "Print Background (colors & images)".

4. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.
If you wish to disable this printing in the future, just follow the above steps but uncheck the box.
