Re-Import Settings from Another Browser

SUMMARY: Obtain settings into Mozilla Firefox from other web browsers such as Internet Explorer or Opera.


 

When installing Mozilla Firefox, you are given the option to import settings from other supported installed browsers. After using Mozilla Firefox, if you still need to access these other browsers occasionally, you may find it necessary to re-import changed items.

1. Select "File" - "Import".

2. The "Import Wizard" dialog box appears. Choose from one of the selected browsers and click "Next".

3. Choose the options you wish to import by checking the appropriate boxes. For Internet Explorer, these may include:

* Internet Options
* Cookies
* Browsing History
* Favorites

For Opera, these may include:

* Preferences
* Cookies
* Browsing History
* Bookmarks

4. Click "Next" when you have made your selection(s).

5. Firefox will display a dialog box stating if the items were successfully imported. Click "Finish" to end the wizard.
