Mozilla Firefox - Misc - Stop Loading Web Images

SUMMARY: Prevent Mozilla Firefox from loading images from most websites.

Perhaps you're browsing the web with Mozilla Firefox on a dial-up connection or a slow wi-fi hotspot. Or, maybe the webpages you browse contain too many images and you just want the text.

For whatever the reason, you can force Mozilla Firefox to not load standard images (note that images loaded from Flash files and other multimedia types may not be affected by this tweak).

1. Click "Tools" - "Options".

2. When the "Options" dialog box appears, click "Content".

3. Uncheck "Load Images automatically".

4. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.

This tip was written for Mozilla Firefox v3.0.5. Screenshots and instructions for other versions may vary.
