SUMMARY: View weather forecasts and a radar map via the Forecastfox extension for Google Chrome.
Are you a Google Chrome user but would like to have the Forecastfox weather tool in your browser like the one available for Mozilla Firefox? Now you can.
With the "Forecastfox Weather" extension for Google Chrome you can display similar weather information in your browser from AccuWeather.com. The extension adds an icon to the right of the address bar with the current temperature and representation of the current weather (a cloud, rain, moon, etc).
1. From Google Chrome, visit the Forecastfox Weather page.
2. Click the "Install" button.
3. Click "Install" in the "Confirm Installation" dialog box when prompted.
After installing Forecastfox, a new tab opens where you can customize Forecastfox features. From here, decide on a different weather measurement unit if desired. Type in a city name or United States zip code to choose which city's forecast to view. Press Enter to query Forecastfox for a matching location, and from here you can remove other cities inputted into the extension.
To view the weather forecast, click on the Forecastfox weather icon that appears to the right of the address bar. Click on a day to view a more detailed forecast. Click "static" or "animated" to open a larger map in a new tab. Clicking "details" or "hourly" opens forecasts in new tabs. Click the "switch locations" link to view weather forecasts for a different location if you have multiple locations defined. Clicking the "options" link allows you to customize Forecastfox.
Press the "print" button on your browser or select "File" - "Print" to print this tip. Then, return to Google Chrome - Add Weather Forecasts via Forecastfox
