Free Desktop Sticky Notes with Alarms

SUMMARY: Freebie Notes lets you "attach" sticky notes to your Desktop, including notes that only appear after a certain date / time.

Tired of pasting sticky notes all over your real desk? Place important notes and reminders on your Windows computer Desktop with Freebie Notes. The freeware application lets you create sticky notes in multiple header and text colors, and each note can be configured whether or not to stay on top of other windows (notes can be transparent as well). The software also includes a Notes Editor, helping you manage notes and offering the ability to save notes contents to text files.

Reminders can be assigned to each note for a particular date and/or time, upon startup, and weekly with the option at a set time. To keep the Desktop de-cluttered, reminder notes will only display at the time/date of the reminder criteria, and you can optionally play reminder sounds.

Configuration preferences include whether or not to run the software automatically on Windows startup, toggling transparency and adjusting the levels and speed, and default note options including whether or not to use a random color for each note.

Configuring Freebie Notes

The software may be downloaded at the following site. Note that Freebie Notes is free; you will notice inside the application many options with an asterisk, including advanced alarm features. These require commercial versions of the software.
