General Computers - Don't Plug Into a Powered Machine

Never, never plug in a keyboard into a computer that is on! The keyboard usually connects straight to the motherboard, so this technique could destroy your motherboard or fry your machine. For that matter, it is best not to plug or unplug any devices from the computer while it is on.
