SUMMARY: UPS units can protect your computers from surges, brownouts, and unreliable power. Read this tip for more information.
Well, maybe not more power, but at least better power.
Do you believe it is hype when UPS (Uninterruptible Power Source) and surge protector companies tell you that many computer problems are caused by bad or unreliable power?
It's not hype - it's all too true.
Computer errors occur for all types of reasons, but one of these overlooked reasons is bad power. Voltages fluctuate; sometimes the power goes out; sometimes brownouts occur. All of these problems can wreak havoc on your machine, causing system crashes, hard drive failures, and potentially system damage.
Don't play games with your PC - strongly consider buying a UPS unit, or at least a surge protector.
Here are some UPS company websites. Note that this list is for informational purposes only.

BTW: Do you keep your computer plugged in all of the time? Your computer can be damaged by bad power, even if it is turned off. Buy a UPS and keep it plugged in the UPS, not the wall.
