SUMMARY: Set Google Chrome to be the default web browser opened by most Windows applications.
When installing Google Chrome, you have the option to make it your default browser that opens when most Windows programs request a browser to view a webpage (some software may be hardcoded to open Internet Explorer). If you did not make this choice, yet later wish to make Google Chrome your default browser, do the following:
1. Click the Tools button, selecting "Options".
2. When the "Google Chrome Options" dialog box appears, click the "Basics" tab.
3. Underneath "Default browser", click the "Make Google Chrome my default browser" button.
4. Click "Close" to close the dialog box.
Return to the Google Chrome page.
