SUMMARY: Google Fast Flip lets you flip through news articles, make recommendations, and share articles with others via e-mail.
As another way to find news using the Internet, Google has released a Labs feature called "Fast Flip", allowing you to flip through news sources like you would flip the pages of a magazine. This provides a unique way to browse at a glance the top stories of the day.
You can view recent, most viewed, and recommended pages, or click on "Headlines". After reading the front page of an article, a "Read full story" link on the bottom of the page takes you to the news source for the full story. Or, just click on the article itself. Articles can be e-mailed, and you can click a "Like" button to recommend an article (a Google Account is required).
Browsing news articles via Google Fast Flip
Although the topics are generated automatically, sections can be accessed such as Politics, Business, U.S., World, Sports, Sci/Tech, Entertainment, Health, Opinion, and Travel. You can also search for news or type in section: followed by the section you wish to see in the search box.
Note that to keep the flip interface available when viewing sections, do not just click on the section links. Instead, click the plus sign next to the section links to expand the area, and then click one of the sections. Otherwise, a new page will open with news story thumbnails only without the arrows for flipping.
A mobile version is available for iPhone and Android users.
