Google News

Alternate Image Version

SUMMARY: Display an alternate version of the Google News website that focuses on news images.

While many people access the Google News website as-is, a couple of alternate versions of the site are available.

One version of the site, an Image Version, displays a matrix of images and photos pulled from various sources. Each image relates to a news story, and each image has an identifier listing the number of related images to the story. The list of news items is displayed on the right side of the page; hover over an image and the selected news article scrolls into view.

Note that you may wish to use your web browser's "full screen" view so you can scroll through news stories on the right side of the page using the up and down arrows.

To access this feature, either click the "Image Version" link on the bottom-left of the main Google News page (underneath the list of categories), or click the following link (subject to change): http://news.google.com/?imv=1
