SUMMARY: Search Google News without Photos and Other Imagery
By default, the Google News tool displays photos and other images next to selected news stories. These images, like the stories, are taken from news websites and selected by a computer program. If you're accessing the Internet on a slow connection or find some of the images disturbing, you may wish to disable them.
On the left side of the Google news homepage underneath the categories you may have missed a link for a "Text Version". Click this link and you'll see just the articles. Or, bookmark the following link (though it is subject to change): http://news.google.com/news?ned=tus&hl=en&rec=0. Note that clicking on articles will take you to the news stories on other websites, and these may contain images.
Press the "print" button on your browser or select "File" - "Print" to print this tip. Then, return to Google News - Text-Only Version
