Google Earth - Zoom In or Out

SUMMARY: Four ways to zoom in or out of satellite views of the planet in Google Earth.

Note that this tip was written for Google Earth, Free Version, Beta 4 for Windows. Information may differ when other beta or final releases for Google Earth are released, as may information differ for Google Earth on other operating systems.


When using Google Earth to view the world, there a few easy ways to zoom in or out:

1. Near the top-right of the display, click on the "+" button to zoom in or the "-" button to zoom out. If these buttons are not visible, move your mouse to the compass near the top-right of the display.

2. Click and hold the "thumb" slider and drag it between the "+" and "-" buttons to zoom in ("+") or out ("-").

3. Hold down the right-mouse button. Move your mouse down to zoom in or up to zoom out.

4. If your mouse has a wheel, scroll down to zoom out or up to zoom in.


 


Press the "print" button on your browser or select "File" - "Print" to print this tip. Then, return to Google Earth - Zoom In or Out
