Google Maps

Map a Location with Google Maps

SUMMARY: Need to find an address on a map? Use the Google Maps tool with interactive panning and zooming.

Need to find a location in either the United States, Canada, or in the United Kingdom? With Google Maps you can enter a full or partial address to display a map of said location. Major routes, interstates, parks, airports, and some other locations such as malls are displayed on the map as well.

(Note that this is current as of June 1, 2005 - Google may add support for more countries in the future.)

To visit Google Maps, just visit http://maps.google.com/. Enter in your desired location in the query bar and press "Search".

To move around the map, just click and hold your mouse button on the map and move your mouse around. Google Maps will pan, allowing you to perform a "virtual drive". You can also use the arrows on the left side of the map to move north, south, east, or west. Or, click the middle button between the directional arrows to move back to your last search result.

Need to zoom in or out for more or less detail? Click the "+" button to zoom in or the "-" button to zoom out. You can also click on the thumb slider bar between the two buttons; click on the thumb and hold your mouse button down, then move your mouse up to zoom in or down to zoom out.
