SUMMARY: If you know what you're doing, HijackThis can remove registry, startup, browser helper objects, and other entries related to malware.

After running HijackThis and performing a scan, you may decide that there are certain items you definitely wish to remove. For example, you may notice your Internet Explorer home page is different than what you originally set it to. Perhaps you see a startup item that looks like spyware.
