Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.x and Below

Share your Bookmarks with other PCs

SUMMARY: Copy your Windows Favorites to another PC.

To share your bookmarked webpages ("Favorites") with people on other PCs, perhaps in an office environment, copy them to disk. Open up your \WINDOWS\FAVORITES directory. Now, select the bookmarks/favorites that you wish to share with someone else. Right click on the selected Favorites. A popup menu will appear. Select "Send to," and then your "A" drive. Give your disk to someone else and tell him or her to copy the contents of the disk to their \WINDOWS\FAVORITES directory.

If you are sharing a lot of Favorites, you may wish to first ZIP up your Favorites and just copy that one file. Then, give the disk to someone else and tell him or her to UNZIP the contents of the disk to their \WINDOWS\FAVORITES directory.
